Symposium on Organizational Health Literacy at the 31st International HPH Conference

M-POHL contributed to a symposium titled “Enhancing Organizational Health Literacy in Health Care – Insights from Two European Initiatives.”

The symposium highlighted the work on organizational health literacy of two major European efforts: the M-POHL OHL project and the Joint Action PreventNCD. Together, these initiatives showcased ongoing efforts to strengthen health literacy-responsive health systems across Europe.

Within this session, M-POHL colleagues presented key findings from its recent work through two contributions:

  1. Feasibility of a two-step Organizational Health Literacy self-assessment process in hospitals
  2. Translation and adaptation of a tool for promoting Organizational Health Literacy in primary care

The symposium offered a valuable platform for exchange, demonstrating how collaborative European initiatives can generate evidence, support implementation, and drive progress toward more health literacy-responsive health care organizations.
